Fix Footer Formatting 15.11.08
My footer is spaced inconsistently on different pages in different browsers. On IE 6 & 7 it actually overlaps the lower edge of the content on some pages (such as the index page- http://is.gd/5cdV). The footer also appears to be off-center (to the left) on some of those pages as well. I want my footer to be dynamically placed at the bottom of the screen regardless of whether there’s minimal content or not, centered and aligned with the center content container, not overlap any of the content on any pages, and the current formatting of the 3 column footer should remain the same.
*This should go for both the main installation and the forum
*The code should be W3C compliant
*The code should work for all the major browsers (Chrome, IE 6, 7, & 8, Firefox, and Safari) on Windows and Mac
*The formatting should be handled via CSS not directly in the template
*unused css and code not needed in the footer should be removed before completion.
The site is built with expressionengine and a tutorial for making these changes on expressionengine have been detailed here: http://is.gd/z55
Please note that I want this fixed just as I have detailed above with the instructions in the link if possible and that the footer for the forum is different than the footer for the main part of the site. If you do not think you can do this please do not bid.
