Ftp Data Flat Files -my Sql Db 30.09.08
This project requires the integration of up to 10 ftp sites.
CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY
The website currently integrates 1 ftp site in an automated fashion by downloading (php) flat files on a weekly basis to a predefined schema that I have mapped data fields for. It then does a mashup between the data in the db with microsoft virtual earth and then presents on a website.
NEW FUNCTIONALITY
This project requires the additional integration of up to 10 ftp sites that I will provide access to and I will map the flat files to the already predefined schema. The programmer will have to create a shadow mysql db to allow for seamless integration without down time, download from the ftp sites at scheduled weekly/bi weekly/ or daily times, parse the data, and automate the entire process as the current data already is automated.
Experience with Microsoft Virtual Earth mashups is also required.
