Iphone Dbase Search App. 13.10.08
I need an experienced iPhone developer to write a simple database application which works like this: iPhone/iTouch user launches app and can browse pictures of things, select one and it opens up in picture viewer for a larger view OR, user enters a search query to find pictures in a database already tagged with keywords. The query would present thumbnails of the pictures relating to the search query and as before, if the user selects one, it opens up in picture viewer capable of being enlarged and moved around the screen like normal.
The UI will also provide a fast way to swipe through the search results to find the right picture quickly.
The application’s key is being fast to produce results from a database of pictures well stocked with keyword tags (high relevancy), AND be able to let the user swipe through search results to find what they’re looking for quickly (high responsiveness)
I will provide the graphics – estimate a couple hundred photos in the database. Design consideration in the architecture of the application should include the ability to perform searches in additional languages in the future… for example – right now I want to be able to search for pictures in English but future versions of the app should be able to allow searches in Spanish, French, etc… for the same pictures.
Database chosen should be able to be loaded and used on any APPLE SUPPORTED iPhone/iTouch – this means, the application should be usable from the Apple App Store and NOT require the device be jailbroken or otherwise have unsupported third party software installed in order to operate properly.
Application beta would need to be ready for testing within 1 month of agreement. Developer to be willing to sign our Application Development Agreement prior to project start.
Payment upon acceptable beta release. Future enhancements and minor bug fixes to be billable on a time and materials basis.
